Mr. Lazarus is the founder and managing partner of Special Needs Law Firm; a Florida law firm that provides legal services related to public benefit preservation, Medicare Set Asides, lien resolution and qualified settlement funds. Jason received his B.A. from the University of Central Florida and his J.D. with high honors from Florida State University. He received his LL.M. degree in Elder Law from Stetson University College of Law. Prior to starting his settlement planning practice and starting Settlement Law Firm, Mr. Lazarus practiced as a Medical Malpractice and Workers' Compensation attorney in Orlando. He has had his written work published by AAJ's Trial Magazine, Florida Justice Association Journal, The Florida Bar Journal, NAELA Journal, ElderLaw Report, Exceptional Parent, The Employee Advocate, News and 440 Report and The Journal of Transnational Law & Policy. He has presented on the topic of settlement planning for the Florida Justice Association, Southern Trial Lawyers Association, Florida Conference of Circuit Judges, Florida Workers Advocates, Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar, Mass Torts Made Perfect, Lorman Educational Seminars and countless local trial lawyer groups. He is a member of the Florida Bar, Florida Justice Association (Eagle Member), American Association for Justice, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Academy of Special Needs Planners, Society of Settlement Planners and the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals.
